Spawning salmon swim upstream

Spawning red-tinged salmon swim upstream in droves in British Columbia, Canada.

The spawning period, otherwise known as the salmon run, is the period between September and November when migrating fish from the ocean travel upstream to lay eggs on rocky river beds.

"On this particular day there were almost 4000 salmon trying to make it to the top of the river," said the filmer.

"The bears in the area were loving this feeding frenzy!"
