Coastal Zone Management Specialist and attorney at law, Anselm Clouden is now weighing in on the untreated runoff that is causing a stink among activists and beach patrons. The site on which the Silversands Development is being erected was the only remaining wetland area along the Grand Anse Beach area that treated stormwater runoff. Since construction work has begun, it has become necessary to treat land runoff. Pools of murky water forming near the beach is an indication that the developers’ efforts at addressing this environmental issue.
