This is the shocking moment a couple participating in a protest against Putin’s pension reform is detained by riot police.

The footage, captured this morning (September 8) in Yekaterinburg city, shows a man and a woman having a heated argument with an officer when a group of riot police appears to arrest them.

Dozens of people were reportedly detained by police in Russia as protests continue against Vladimir Putin’s plans to raise the retirement age.

The pension reform plan would see the retirement age rise from 55 to 60 for women and from 60 to 65 for men, with the changes expected to be in place by 2028.
