New video from NASA shows Hurricane Florence on its course toward the US on Monday, September 10, as the National Weather Service upgraded the rapidly strengthening hurricane to Category 4 status.States of emergency have been issued in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.Around 1 million people were expected to evacuate from communities along South Carolina’s entire coastline after Governor Henry McMaster issued a mandatory evacuation order on Tuesday, September 11.Mandatory evacuation orders were also issued in parts of North Carolina and Virginia.According to NASA, this footage of Hurricane Florence was captured by astronaut Ricky Arnold on the the International Space Station at 8:10 am ET on September 10.
