According to a report by Reuters, a fierce wildfire forced the closure of an interstate highway in Northern California as it raged for the third day in a row. Crews battled to outflank the flames as they travel through explosively dry mountain timber in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The Delta Fire has scorched nearly 25,000 acres in the Cascade range since erupting on Wednesday in a forest canyon along the Sacramento River, approximately 250 miles north of San Francisco.
