It’s long been suspected that hand dryers are terrible at keeping hands and bathrooms free of germs.
And Gizmodo reports new research suggests they could even be spreading bugs in hospital bathrooms.
Studying hospital bathrooms in the UK, France, and Italy, a consistent pattern emerged.
Namely, bathrooms that used jet dryers were more covered with germs than were ones with only paper towels.
In France, hand dryers are already barred in restrooms where patients stay.
However, that's only because of the loud noise they make.
