Indian Railway's 'Plan Bee' to save elephants dying on tracks
  • 6 years ago
Every year, several elephants die after colliding with trains on the railway tracks. To overcome this situation, Ministry of Railways has come up with a new technology. The North-East frontier railway has placed a device which creates sound of honey bees. Since, elephants don't like the sound of honey bees, they will change their path. The sound can be easily heard from 600 meters and is downloaded from the internet. This initiative taken by the Railway Ministry has solved the problem successfully.
