A shark was brought to shore in New Jersey after getting caught on a fishing line.

Bystanders looked on as the large shark was gradually brought to the beach in Brigantine on August 26.

It thrashes around on the beach, just metres from the filmer.

According to the filmer, the incident was the second time in one day that a shark had been reeled in.

She adds that the shark was released shortly afterwards.
