France Clashing With UK Over 'Scallops'

CNN reports France's navy is "ready to intervene" if there are any further skirmishes clashes in the long-running scallop war between French and British fishermen. The French Agriculture Minister warned that forces could be sent out to police the waters if there is a repeat of last week's conflict over the molluscs. Industry representatives from the United Kingdom and France will meet in London on Wednesday to try to resolve the issues that led to last week's violent confrontation on the English Channel.
