Did Apple TV's YouTube App Update Make It Worse?

YouTube's Apple TV app has updated once again, and seems to have fixed a few problems...
...But new solutions sometimes create newer problems.
The app now has inertial scrolling, and a toolbar on the left with clearer buttons...
But the YouTube app's won't allow voice search unless you go to the "Search" field.
You are also now limited to 5 categories at the top of your home screen, so choose wisely!
