Speakers' Corner: BILL ON RELIGION & HUE ON MEDIA STORIES
  • 6 years ago
This was the first talk by long-time Orator HUE of Twenty Fourteen. Hue came across BILL.

“Well, yeah," says HUE, "I was there at Speakers' Corner getting psyched-up to 'perform' when, walking around (as I do), to hear what's going down, I noticed a new Orator with a pronounced Australian accent ~ well, he was new to me. He said he was a Reverend; in other words, a Christian pastor. But his rhetoric was definitely new, and quite refreshing, actually. So I videoed him, for which he was very grateful, and then Bill videoed me for a bit, before one of the regular attendees, KELVIN, took over camcorder duty.

"As is often the case, I wanted to talk about topical issues. I only wish I hadn't held my iPad for so long, after referring to a story in the much-maligned Daily Mail....

"So, an unusual pairing-up here, but one which offers viewers an interesting contrast of styles and subject-matter."
