Shauna Coxsey's Flying Start To The IFSC Season Continues In Kazo | Climbing Daily Ep. 697

The Second round of the IFSC Bouldering World Wup was in Kazo, Japan, this weekend, with many athletes having to recover quickly after a long journey from last weekend’s round in Switzerland.
Italy's Michael Piccolruaz pulled out a spectacular performance to compete in his first final in 12 years. The pressure was on to see if he could still compete against the world's best and he didn't disappoint, taking the silver medal. Michael managed to flash two of his problems, and was only beaten by Russia’s Rustam Gelmanov, who flashed 3 out of the 4 problems, with Japan’s Kokoro Fuji taking third.
Shauna, who is looking super strong, absolutely crushed, climbing all of the problems in only 7 attempts. In fact, she had won the competition by the third bloc, pulling too far ahead for anyone else to catch. Melissa Le Neve once again took the silver medal, ensuring the pressure stays on Shauna, with local athlete, Miho Nonoka, rounding off the podium in third place.
