On today's show we are in alpine heaven. Firstly we taking a look at the award winning 6.5mm 'Rap Line II' rope from Edelrid. The rope is designed to be used as a utility line by mountain guides and big wall climbers. It functions as a static line for rapelling, hauling...etc until it is loaded dynamically. In this event, the inner sheath breaks, and the rap line functions like a dynamic rope. This could very literally be a life-saver in a dangerous un-planned event on the wall.
Black Diamond have a long history of innovation in Alpinism, and their new 'Snaggletooth' crampon only confirms their reputation in this field. The Snaggletooth combines a horizontal monopoint with a second frontpoint, giving it greater adaptability whilst maintaining stability in all conditions including snow, mixed terrain and technical ice climbing. The perfect all rounder.
