Lykkefanten 1997 (English: Southern Comfort) movie is the second film of Jesper W. Nielsen trilogy Forbudt for børn. Two kids, Ida and Skrubsak, take us again to harsh realism and pure magic of Nielsen reality. Ida’s mother in divorce take comfort in alcohol, and brave Ida pull her strings to take care about little Skrubsak, feed the family, and keep welfare officers away. Desperately she tries to drown herself, hoping to force mother to get back to life. God, however, does not accept Ida in Paradise, because she is too young gilrl… she has not even been in love. Southern Comfort is film about abandonment, love and hope.
