Good morning, central and northern regions have been seeing heavier showers, but now southern regions will need to brace for showers today into Saturday.
Chungcheong-do Province and the northern parts of the Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do provinces are seeing heavier showers with rain falling at a rate of 40 millimeters an hour.
A heavy rain warning is in place for Sejong City, Chungcheong-do and Jeolla-do Provinces. Rain alerts are likely to be issued to more regions as the day goes on.
50 to 150 millimeters of rain are expected for those central regions, while southern coastal regions could see more than 200 millimeters of showers.
Daily highs in most parts will be 29 degrees Celsius while summer heat continues on Jeju Island with a heatwave advisory.
