Oregon Zoo’s resident harbor seal Kaya made a new friend. Senior Keeper Micah Reese captured this footage while working at the zoo.The Portland native had cleaned Kaya’s enclosure and was checking his work when he found Kaya playing with a butterfly. The curious seal chased the butterfly as it fluttered on the other side of the glass. She sweetly pressed her nose up to the glass and even seemed to encourage the butterfly to fly by waving at it.
