Tarana Burke speaks at MGM Grand's 2018 Women's Leadership Conference

#MeToo founder Tarana Burke was a keynote speaker at this year's 2018 Women's Leadership Conference at the MGM Grand. Hundreds of women gathered to hear her speak. The #MeToo movement went viral just last year, but Burke has worked in marginalized communities for over 10 years. The movement was inspired by a young girl named Heaven. Burke formed JustBe Inc., in 2007 naming the movement behind it #MeToo. She works with community centers, universities and grade schools across Pennsylvania, New York and Alabama. Today, #MeToo is used internationally to symbolize solidarity among victims of sexual assault and harassment. Tarana Burke
