Special 'Jelly Drops' Help Those With Dementia Stay Hydrated

Who doesn’t love a piece of candy? Lewis Hornby’s grandmother is seen here enjoying a sweet treat from her grandson but there is more than meets the eye.Lewis’ grandmother is suffering from dementia and, like many with the condition, she struggles with dehydration. In an effort to fight dehydration in dementia patients, Lewis created hydrating Jelly Drops. The ingenuity of the drops lies in the fact that patients would likely find them more appealing and more easily ingestible than a cup of liquid.The tasty snacks are still in development and are not yet for sale commercially.
