Residents in the Serbian town of Bosilegrad alerted animal control when they feared that a deadly reptile had wriggled behind their building's render.

This video, shot June 30, shows the moment the worker broke through the foundations of the wall, tearing away more and more of the building's facade. Eventually, he was able to locate the three-feet-long snake that had gotten trapped.

The snake was found to be a non-venomous Aesculapian snake, which can grow up to six and a half feet in length.
