ElisaMaiteaOlaizola, in arte Maitea, è una cantautrice italo-basca nata nel 1994 a Cles. All’età di 14 anni l’amore per il Rock la spinge ad imparare a suonare la chitarra e a frequentare un corso di musica d’insieme. Nel 2011 nascono gli Shake Your Ass, gruppo che esplora sonorità Soul e Funk, nello stesso anno ha l’occasione di aprire il concerto di Eugenio Finardi a Cles insieme ad altri artisti locali.
Nel frattempo inizia a comporre musica propria e ad esibirsi da sola con la sua chitarra i
Nel 2015 esce il suo primo singolo, Summer Breeze, con sonorità Pop-Folk e prodotto dall’etichetta Percorsi Musicali di Trento. Nello stesso anno inoltre fa parte dei Rockin’ 1000, la più grande rock band al mondo, esperienza ripetuta anche l’anno seguente con il concerto tenuto nello stadio di Cesena. Sempre nel 2015 si esibisce con un suo pezzo originale in apertura al concerto di Dolcenera all’interno del Festival Spaziozeronove di Cles.
Nel febbraio 2016 esce il suo primo EP, mentre nel 2017 pubblica il videoclip di Flowers & Mistakes,
Negli ultimi anni ha collaborato con diversi artisti locali, come il rapper Faby C nel pezzo Lampi di colore (2015) e il gruppo Tryaxis in Life is today (2017), il cui videoclip è stato girato nei Paesi Baschi, sua terra paterna.
Attualmente, oltre a frequentare il triennio di Popular Music al Conservatorio Bonporti di Trento, sta suonando in diverse formazioni: come frontwoman del gruppo Pop-Dance Wasabi, come corista nella tribute band Like Floyd (band tributo ai Pink Floyd), e in duo con la percussionista e cantante Francesca Endrizzi con cui ha recentemente ottenuto il premio speciale Andrea & Michele di Radio Deejay al Contest oom+ .
Nel frattempo si esibisce anche da sola con la sua chitarra e continua a comporre pezzi propri, uno dei quali uscirà a breve.
Maitea (Elisa Maitea Olaizola) is an italo – basque singer and songwriter born in Cles (Italy) in 1994.
In the mean time she started writing her songs and playing alone with her guitar in different occasions. She also took part in singing lessons at the CDM of Rovereto for 3 years. In 2014 she was finalist at the Rock Time and oom+ contests. For two consecutive years she took part at VarTalent, a national singing contest, obtaining excellent results and the opportunity to have a song written for her by the songwriters Iacopo Candela and Francesco Camin. The song ‘Concetti Spaziali’, is included in the VarTalent Compilation ’15.
Her first single, ‘Summer Breeze’ a Pop – Folk song produced by the label Percorsi Musicali from Trento, was realized in 2015. In the same year she took part in the Rockin’1000, the world biggest rock band, wich also held a whole concert in the Cesena stadium the following year. In 2016 she released her first EP, containing 3 songs: Summer Breeze, Foglie Sparse and Snowflakes.
A videoclip for her new single Flowers & Mistakes, written along with her cousin Roberto Manzoni, was released in 2017.
She is currently attending a Popular Music class at the Bonporti Conservatory in Trento, while performing with different groups: she is the frontwoman of the Pop-Dance band Wasabi, the backing vocalist in the Pink Floyd tribute band Like Floyd and together with the percussionist and singer Francesca Endrizzi, with whom she recently won the special prize ‘Andrea & Michele of Radio Deejay’ at the oom+ Contest with a personal cover or R.E.M.’s hit Losing My Religion.
Meanwhile she also performs solo with her guitar and she is currently working on new songs, one of which will be released soon. Most of her songs are available on YouTube, Spotify and the main other music digital stores.
