'Crazy Rich Asians' Sequel in Early Development The team behind “Crazy Rich Asians” is conjuring up another story. The sequel to the already hit romantic comedy is in the early stages of development at Warner Bros. Negotiations are underway to bring back Adele Lima nad Peter Chiarelli, who wrote the screenplay. “Crazy Rich Asians” shattered the box office by raking in $25.2 million during it’s debut. The romantic comedy was the first big studio film to feature a predominately Asian cast in more than 20 years.
