FDA Extends Expiration Dates For EpiPen To Combat Shortage
  • 6 years ago
According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, the United States Food and Drug Administration extended the expiration date of specific lots of Mylan NV's EpiPen allergy injectors by four months to mitigate the shortage of the life-saving treatment. The decision applies to specific lots of 0.3 milligran EpiPen products, after the regulator reviewed data provided by Mylan. Earlier this month, Mylan reportedly issued a warning that the devices may not always be available.
