Jimmy O. Yang began his journey in getting a role on “Silicon Valley” by getting rejected. But soon after he was called back to play Jian-Yang, appearing in three episodes for the first season. According to UPROXX, Yang was later offered a series regular role on Yahoo’s “Other Space.” Yang’s agent then used this offer push “Silicon Valley” to match it and make Yang a regular. Although Yang thought it was a crazy idea, HBO matched the offer and made him a regular.
