A teen cyclist made history, claims first ever win; 17-yr-old finished 0.017 sec behind 1st position

A teen cyclist has made a history by claiming India’s first ever silver medal at the UCI junior track cycling world championships which was held in Aigle, Switzerland. The 17 year old from Andaman and Nicobar has a tough competition with Czech Republic's Jakuv Stastny in the final sprint before settling for the silver medal where the third position, bronze medal was won by Andrey Chugay from Kazakh. It has been the first time in the history that any Indian has won a medal in cycling. Esow finished the race just 0.017 sec behind gold medallist stastny in the thrilling finish in the qualifiers Esow topped the first round with a 200m timing of 10.851 sec.
