According to Reuters, the wife of imprisoned Reuters journalist, Wa Lone, gave birth to a baby girl.
Lone is currently facing up to 14 years in jail for allegedly violating the colonial-era Official Secrets Act.
Wa Lone’s wife gave birth to a baby girl Friday night in a Yangon hospital, and this is the couple’s first child.
Wa Lone has been detained for most of the time his wife was pregnant, pleading not guilty to the charges, and insisting he was entrapped by police.
