Few celebrity couples feel as immediately perfect as Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. As soon as they announced their relationship last spring, fans started waiting for wedding bells.
In a new interview with 103.5 KTU’s Cubby and Carolina, the “Jenny From The Block” singer finally addressed the marriage rumors. Watch the clip above for a preview of her interview.
“Are you engaged? Are you engaged?” host Cubby flat out asked.
“I’m not engaged,” J. Lo replied.
Cohost Carolina Bermuda didn’t let her off that easy, following up with, “You’re not yet?”
“No… eh,” J.Lo responded. Not yet. She also denied they secretly got married in Las Vegas.
J.Lo celebrated her 49th birthday on July 24. She wrote a heartfelt birthday post for Alex three days later as he turned 43. Apparently, engagement rings were not gifted.
The “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” singer only had kind words for her man. She said, “We really complement each other. It’s like where I need help, he’s really strong and where he needs help I’m really strong. When two people kind of just fit together really well, he and I are like that.”
She also said their kids, four in total, are handling the coupling well. She explained, “I’ve had other relationships where it’s been tricky but with these four it really works nicely.” Did those other “tricky” relationships include hers with ex-husband Marc Anthony, who had four children before they were married?
J.Lo also revealed that while she bought fellow Bronx-native Cardi B a present for her new baby Kulture, she’s waiting until they’re together to give it to her. “I want to see her reaction,” she said.
