Trump Reportedly Told Advisers He Wants Omarosa 'Arrested'

Trump has reportedly been on a rampage about Omarosa and her book “Unhinged."

In the days surrounding the release of former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman's book "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House," President Trump was quite public in his criticisms of her.  According to Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair, in the wake of many unflattering claims she makes about Trump in the book, the president has been on a rampage behind closed doors as well, going so far as to suggest that Omarosa be put behind bars.  Sherman wrote on Thursday that a Republican with knowledge of the situation said, "Trump told advisers that he wants Attorney General Jeff Sessions to have Manigault Newman arrested," though it remains unclear on what grounds Sessions is supposed to do so.  Some who spoke with Sherman offered insights into why Trump's reaction to the situation has been so strong.  One reportedly commented, "He's known her for 15 years and thinks it's a personal betrayal," while another noted that Omarosa "is doing everything perfect if her ultimate goal is to troll Trump." Whatever the reason, Trump has been abundantly clear about his feelings.  "Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time," he tweeted on Monday. "She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart."  One day later, he wrote: "When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn't work out. Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!"
