Champion Jeff Smith MBE - Motocross - Trials - Enduro Legend!
In an age where modern heroes are influencing a whole new generation, the achievements of Jeffrey Vincent Smith MBE remain unsurpassed. He is the world’s greatest ever all-round competitor in motocross, trials and enduros

Jeff began his career at the young age of 17 and competed when the sport was raw, risky and down-to-earth. Between 1953 and 1971 JVS won more national and international titles than any rider before or since. His achievements include two World Motocross Championships, two British Trials Championships, multiple British Experts Trial wins, four individual race wins in the Motocross des Nations and three ISDE Gold Medals. He became a household name and a favourite in the Sixties when motocross was a regular live feature on BBC Grandstand. When Britain pre-empted the world in the off-road sport, and before it was known as dirt biking, Jeff was a leading light.

His story is one of continued success and is recounted here by Jeff himself who looks back over his remarkable career. Alongside the memories of former team mate and BSA competition manager Brian Martin, Jeff’s personal and often funny account is interspersed with terrific archive footage of trials and scrambles events from the 1950s and 1960s.
