Christine Hallquist has won the Democratic gubernatorial primary in Vermont. Hallquist is the first transgender woman to win a major political party's nomination for governor. Ilhan Omar also won the Democratic congressional primary in Minnesota. If she wins the midterm election in November she'll become the first Somali-American to serve in Congress.
