प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने इस स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह में भी अपनी पंरपरा को कायम रखा और गाड़ी से उतरकर बच्चों के बीच पहुंचे। एकदम बच्चों के घेरने के कारण मोदी गिरते-गिरते भी बचे। प्रधानमंत्री ने बच्चों से कहा कि वे संयम रखें वे सभी से हाथ मिलाएंगे। इस दौरान पूरे मोर्च को एसपीजी संभालती नजर आई ।
