A man broke a car window to rescue a dog trapped in a hot car in Lafayette, Louisiana, on August 12.

In the video, a man can be seen breaking the driver’s side window, opening the door and then walking away with a small poodle in his arm.

“I noticed a small poodle barking in a parked car, which had cracks in all four windows,” the filmer said. "The temperature that day was in the upper 90’s.”

“This guy and his girlfriend walked by the car and noticed the dog as well,” the filmer continued. “They both entered the store and came out 10 minutes later when he decided to take action.”

“Once he rescued the dog, he went into the store and had the management page the owner of the car,” the filmer said. “Once she arrived, he handed her the dog told her not to leave dogs in a hot car and left.”
