Navjot Singh Sidhu visited the Pakistan High Commission situated in New Delhi on Monday. He is seeking permission to travel to Pakistan for the swearing-in ceremony of the Pakistan Prime Minister-elect, Imran Khan. Speaking to mediapersons, he said, “There are some formalities for which I am here. I have applied for government permission. Everything depends on government’s permission now.” Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had confirmed that no foreign dignitaries have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony of Imran Khan. However, the PTI spokesperson had said only select friends of Khan have been invited to the swearing-in, such as former Indian cricketers Sunil Gavaskar and Navjot Singh Sidhu, and actor Aamir Khan. Khan will be the 20th Prime Minister of Pakistan and the swearing-in ceremony will be held at President's House in Islamabad.
