With an eye on 2019 general elections, the centre is advancing its mega Aero India show by a year. It has decided to shift the event to Lucknow from Bengaluru in an attempt to showcase Uttar Pradesh as a manufacturing destination for global aviation companies. Sources say that Aero India show, which was scheduled to be held in Bangalore in February 2019, is being shifted to the Bakshi Ka Talab Air Station in Lucknow. The shift in venue has not gone down too well with the K'taka govt with congress leaders questioning Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over the decision taken.
