Ruling party lawmakers on the National Assembly's Land, Infrastructure & Transport Committee are holding an emergency meeting to discuss the latest safety incidents surrounding the German carmaker.
BMW Korea Chairman Kim Hyo-joon , and vice transport minister Kim Jeong-ryeol are also taking part in the meeting which started just about an hour ago at the National Assembly,.. to share their views and propose countermeasures to cope with the damage caused by the engine fires problem.
The meeting is the first time the National Assembly has invited related authorities to hold an emergency discussion over the BMW vehicle blazes.
