According to comicbook.com, Chris Pine may not be back for "Star Trek 4"
Contract negotiations have hit a snag and THR reports that talks have fallen through.
This means Paramount may have to "boldly go" ahead without Captain James T. Kirk.
Additionally, plans for Chris Hemsworth to return to the franchise might be in peril.
Hemsworth played Kirk's father in J.J. Abrams' 2009 cinematic reboot.
There had been discussion that the upcoming film would be a time-travel adventure.
