According to a report by Reuters, on Saturday, fighting continued around the Afghan city of Ghazni just south of Kabul, one day after Taliban fighters stormed its center, killing at least 25 police and one journalist. Defense ministry officials said that while Ghazni was under control of the security forces, clearance operations were continuing and additional troops were being deployed to boost the city's defense.
