A digital de-addiction clinic in Bengaluru has received 5 cases in under a month. All of these were related to the shooting game called player unknown’s battlegrounds or P.U.B.G. The game seems to be gaining traction among teenagers. The boys sent for addiction therapy were aged 15-18. They were counselled at the services for healthy use of technology (shut) clinic of national institute of mental health and neuro sciences for addiction to pubg. It appears peer pressure as well as the fact that players win big money at international tournaments make these games attractive to teenagers.
