Kawad jal yatra 2018 Date and shubh muhurat : During the holy month of Savana, millions of pilgrims carry the auspicious Ganga water to worship Lord Shiva and start their journey of Kanwar Yatra. Millions of saffron clad devotees, popularly known as “kanwariyas”, collect the Ganga Jal from Hindu pilgrimage centres and proceed to the temples of Lord Shiva to offer the holy water.

सावन की शिवरात्रि, सावन के पवित्र महीने में मनाई जाती है| इस बात सावन की शिवरात्रि 9 अगस्त 2018 को मनाई जाएगी। मासिक शिवरात्रि भगवान शिव को प्रसन्न करने के लिए सबसे अच्छा दिन माना जाता है। इस बार मासिक शिवरात्रि चतुर्दशी को पड़ रही है। ऐसी मान्यता है कि मासिक शिवरात्रि के दिन ही भगवान भोलेनाथ शिवलिंग रुप में प्रगट होते हैं। इसी दिन सभी देवी-देवताओं ने पहली बार शिवलिंग की पूजा की थी।
