Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth and his family dropped by at the Chennai’s Rajaji Hall on Wednesday to pay their last respects to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M Karunanidhi. Five-time Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief Karunanidhi, died at Kauvery hospital in Chennai on Tuesday. He was 94-year-old. A number of politicians, including DMK working president MK Stalin reached Rajaji Hall to pay his last respects to the DMK patriarch. Scores of people gathered outside Rajaji Hall to see their deceased Thalaivar for the last time. The 94-year-old political leader passed away on August 7 after prolonged illness. He will be accorded with the state funeral later in the day. However, the place of his burial has not yet been confirmed.
