A New South Wales farmer has shared drone footage of her cattle swarming a water truck as the worst drought in decades continues to grip Australia’s agricultural heartland.The region is suffering through what is likely to be it’s worst drought in 400 years, according to research from the University of Melbourne.Prime minister Malcolm Turnbull announced on Sunday a $140 million (190 million Australian dollars) drought relief package for impacted farms.Amber Lea of Burrabogie Livestock and Contracting owner said she has 1,300 head of cattle, and with water so scarce, they have nothing to drink unless Lea drives over an hour to collect water with her truck.“Watering points on the river or allocated watering troughs were too low, or the mills had stopped pumping and there was no supply,” she said.“The tanker and trough was the only source of water for the cattle we were carting 100,000 litres of water every day for their survival, often having to drive 50 to 70 kms one way to get water for them.” Credit: Burrabogie Livestock and Contracting via Storyful
