Gyeongsangnam-do Province Governor Kim Kyoung-soo will be questioned in a couple of hours over allegations he conspired with an influential blogger to manipulate online political comments in the lead up to last year's presidential election.
The special counsel investigating the case believes the former lawmaker of the ruling Democratic Party, and close aide to President Moon Jae-in could be an accomplice of the blogger nicknamed "Druking."
Prosecutors suspect Kim received regular briefings on Druking's online rigging activities after attending a presentation session in November 2016.
At that session,... the blogger explained using data manipulation software to automatically increase the number of "likes" on online comments.
