China has threatened to impose further tariffs on 60-billion-U.S. dollars worth of American products, refusing to back down in its escalating trade war with the U.S.
The Chinese Commerce Ministry on Friday listed 5-thousand-207 U.S. import products with proposed duties of 5 to 25-percent.
They include liquefied natural gas or LNG, metals and agriculture products, like flour and smoked beef.
Beijing said it has been, quote, "forced to act" after the Trump administration on Wednesday announced it was considering raising its proposed tariffs on 200-billion dollars worth of Chinese imports from 10 to 25 percent.
The White House has responded by saying Beijing's threats are weak and that the Chinese economy is in trouble.
Meanwhile, Beijing's Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, met with his U.S. counterpart, Mike Pompeo at the ASEAN Foreign Minister's Meeting in Singapore on Friday.
He told reporters afterwards that Beijing is willing to resolve differences on an equal footing, but added that they did not speak much on the trade dispute.
