Mike Huckabee slammed Jim Acosta in a recent tweet.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee posted sharply worded messages on Twitter after CNN's Jim Acosta had a tense exchange with his daughter, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, at Thursday's press briefing.
"Breaking wind from CNN! Jim Acosta suffers severe nose bleed from the elevation of his high horse. Taken to safe space and provided with Play Dough, a popsicle, pictures of a pony to color and a puppy," he wrote on Twitter.
"I still think @PressSec is the WINDSHIELD and little Jim Acosta is the BUG," Mike Huckabee stated in another tweet.
The day before, Acosta pressed Sanders on President Trump's remarks about calling press "the enemy of the people."
"For the sake of this room, the people who are in this room, this democracy, this country, all the people around the world are watching what you're saying, Sarah," Acosta said at the briefing. "And the White House, for the United States of America, the President of the United States should not refer to us as the enemy of the people."
"All I'm asking you to do, Sarah, is to acknowledge that right now and right here," Acosta continued.
However, Sanders refused to say that the media isn't "the enemy of the people."
"I appreciate your passion; I share it," Sanders replied. "I've addressed this question. I've addressed my personal feelings. I'm here to speak on behalf of the president, and he's made his comments clear."
