Super cool: Ingenious way to deliver ice cubes in Cambodia

People in Cambodia have found a super cool way to deliver ice cubes using a slide.

The frozen cuboids were seen being unloaded using a metal slide at a market in Phnom Penh on July 28, as temperatures passed 34C.

Passing shoppers and tourists had to step over the metal rails as 2ft long blocks of ice whizzed down inches from their shins.

While local children were able to sit next to the 'ice cube slide' and watch the fascinating spectacle.

Once the blocks of ice zoomed down the make-shift slide they were picked up by another worker, who passed them to a third man who then put them through a crusher.

Staff then bagged up the freshly crushed ice cubes and sold them to locals to use in the stalls.

The impressive system was captured by holidaymaker Randolph Frost from Hammersmith, west London, who said it was ''very cool''.

Randolph added: ''It was a hot day and seeing the huge blocks of ice was very refreshing. I was stood next to the men as the blocks were crushed and bits of ice flew off and cooled me down.

''The business system was impressive, too. They were unloaded with the slide, crushed and sold. The whole process was over in about five minutes.''
