A new poll from Politico/Morning Consult shows that former Vice President Joe Biden tops President Trump in a hypothetical 2020 race.  Biden came out 7 points ahead, with 44% of the 1,993 voters questioned choosing him, compared to the 37% who expressed a preference for Trump.  The survey, conducted from July 26 to July 30, also revealed that Democratic voters prefer an unnamed candidate over Biden, with the former polling 9 points higher in a proposed 2020 face-off with Trump.  Recent reports suggest that the president would also prefer that the Democratic candidate not be Biden.  According to Axios, some of Trump's advisers have indicated, "Joe Biden is the Democrat [Trump] most fears running against."
While Trump took Pennsylvania in 2016, he is said to be concerned about losing it next time around.  Biden is deemed as having a good chance of reclaiming that territory for the Democrats, as not only is he from there, he also has the potential to win over the working-class people who currently belong to Trump's base.
