A mother raccoon and her babies cool off in a paddling pool during a heatwave in Canada.

Temperatures were over 40 degrees Celsius in Southern Ontario in June.

"I filled up the kiddie pool, popped back into the house to get my little guy and saw the mama raccoon and her three babies emerge from the hedge and take a dip in the pool," the filmer said.

"They splashed around for 10 minutes, played with the toys and then sauntered [on] their way back into the hedge."
