The Los Angeles Police Department has released footage of a fatal police shooting that killed the suspect and his hostage. On June 16 police responded to a call that a man had stabbed his girlfriend in the Van Nuys area, he refused to put down the knife and took a nearby woman hostage. Three officers started shooting when he begun to cut her throat. This is the second hostage to be killed in a matter of weeks by the LAPD.
