Neelam Sanjiva Reddy (19 May 1913 – 1 June 1996) was the sixth President of India, serving from 1977 to 1982. Beginning a long political career with the Indian National Congress Party in the Indian independence movement, he went on to hold several key offices in independent India—as the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, a two-time Speaker of the Lok Sabha and a Union Minister—before becoming the youngest-ever Indian president.

భారత రాష్ట్రపతి గా, ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ ముఖ్యమంత్రి గా, లోక్‌సభ సభాపతి గా, ఆంధ్ర రాష్ట్ర ఉపముఖ్యమంత్రిగా, కేంద్ర మంత్రిగా, సంయుక్త మద్రాసు రాష్ట్రంలో మంత్రిగా, కాంగ్రెసు పార్టీ అధ్యక్షుడిగా వివిధ పదవులను అధిరోహించి, ప్రజల మన్ననలను పొందిన రాజకీయవేత్త, నీలం సంజీవరెడ్డి.
1940-70వరకు రాష్ట్ర, దేశ రాజకీయాలను ప్రభావితం చేసిన ప్రతి ముఖ్య ఘటనలోనూ ఆయన ప్రమేయం ఉందనే చెప్పాలి. 1929లో మహాత్మాగాంధీ స్ఫూర్తితో చదువును పక్కనపెట్టి స్వాతంత్య్ర పోరాటం వైపు దృష్టి సారించారు. 1937లో ఆంధ్ర ప్రాంతీయ కాంగ్రెస్‌ కమిటీకి కార్యదర్శిగా ఎన్నికై దాదాపు పదేళ్లపాటు పదవిలో కొనసాగారు. క్విట్‌ ఇండియా ఉద్యమంలో పాల్గొని జైలుకు వెళ్లారు. 1946లో మద్రాసు శాసనసభకు, 1947లో రాజ్యాంగ సభకు ఎన్నికయ్యారు.
