Pygmy snake enjoys 'snack'

According to research, pygmy rattlesnakes have specialized tactics to hunt different prey: with lizards, they lay back, wiggle a lure and wait to strike. An ambush. But, they actively pursue the dangerous giant centipedes. The pigmies strike at the invertebrate with caution. After all, it’s a venomous prey.They flip the prey away from them, maybe out of precaution. However, the snakes didn’t show injuries due to centipede bites. And ultimately the reptiles enjoyed the last bite, hundred legs and all.
