As the rift between Karnataka CM & congress working committee increases, Siddaramaiah has taken to battle to Delhi. He's reportedly told Rahul Gandhi that a pre poll alliance would weaken the congress. The JD(S) which had won more seats in Mysore is likely to demand more netas in case there's a pre poll alliance with the JD(S) ahead of the 2019 polls but Sidda has reportedly expressed his reservations about the same claiming that it may prove detrimental to the party. Rahul on the other hand has advised sidda to resolve internal issues amicably.
